A lighter me.</title><content type='html'>In January 2010 I was tired of bouncing around the 180's. So I got busy and got down to 155. My very own skinny pre-pregnancy weight. YAY me! But now I'm back up at 162, and gosh darnit I wasn't even that thrilled with 155. Now lets give credit, where credit is due. I'm AM thrilled to pieces to be 20+ lbs lighter. I worked my ass off to get where I am. But I can do better, and I can be lighter and just overall healthier.&amp;nbsp;I know it. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;So I'm back on the Weight Watchers wagon. I won't be doing the new points plus system. A) The old system worked for me&amp;nbsp; B) I don't want to pay again or re-learn the new system. We are on a budget here people! Time and money are precious things. My new goal, is 146. Yes thats an odd number but something about 145 feels unreasonable. And its also 10% of my current weight. I'm up this morning at 177.8&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It was a combination of things:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;No meal planning&lt;br /&gt;PMS&lt;br /&gt;Making a huge decision to move out and in with my MIL for the next 6-12 months to help us out financially.&lt;br /&gt;Giving notice to our landlord. 4 days later having the landlord ask if we can show the place to prospective tenants in 24 hours.&lt;br /&gt;Cleaning like a mad woman.&lt;br /&gt;Placing our cats up for adoption since MIL doesn't have room for 2 more.&lt;br /&gt;Finding a match for our cats and turning them over to adoption agency.&lt;br /&gt;Madelynn getting a stomach bug and vomiting for 24 hours. Plus a scary fever.&lt;br /&gt;Rain.&lt;br /&gt;More Rain.&lt;br /&gt;More Depressing Rain.&lt;br /&gt;Only getting one run in at 4.8 miles for the entire week.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm really dissappointed with myself because I made really bad food decisions. But I know I can correct this. I went grocery shopping yesterday and did my meal planning for the week. Help me get BACK ON TRACK!! I need some motivation!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Half marathon in 2 weeks. Even better I saw a video of myself.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Blech. There's no other way to put than I'm fat.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Its depressing because even though I'm losing weight, and I look in the mirror and feel good about myself, when I see pictures, its obvious that I am huge whale.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm pretty sure I was skinnier at 6 wks post partum then I am now. Damn, seeing the true me really sucked.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have the body type that you are either fat or skinny. There isn't an in between for me. My face is either round, or thin. Its very obvious that I'm above and beyond my normal weight. I don't plan on weighing myself every day and need to stop. Its just been so amazing to see (and feel) immediate results.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Being gone for the next few days for Thanksgiving will make that easier. But its going to make counting points even harder. First off my Grandma is picky. She likes to eat at certain places, that aren't necessarily WW friendly. Thats fine. I've got a game plan: My mom is to be my food police.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Secondly: Hello Thanksgiving and all the yummy appetizers my Grandma makes. Ugh. I don't know what I'm going to do here yet. Usually I throw a pity party of one and eat my two favorite C's: Cheese &amp;amp; Chocolate. Because if you can't drink, you might as well eat.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(umm where I came up with I have no clue.... but thats what my dumb ass routinely told herself while pregnant)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well,  I didn't. I had half a glass of wine. Ate in very limited proportions. And well woke up the next day feeling great. Had a lazy day at home Sunday, ate great. (coming Feb 2010).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You'd think I would have lost SOMETHING, but for the love of god NOPE. I've bounced between 188 to 180 (I think I had the flu at that point) and sit right in the middle at 185. I haven't been eating healthy. I think I look worse than when I started. It would be nice to say "restart" but I need to understand WHY I had such a bad set back. So here I am .. I believe week six.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Counting points again. Today I stayed within my points. Yay me.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tomorrow starting couch to 5k. Working out has always been *the way* for me to lose weight. I've been having some issues. While I'm still losing weight my clothes are actually fitting worse. Mainly because I am beyond bloated in my abdomen.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It effing sucks but I'm dealing. Mostly by eating more food.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This weeks adventure is to find a bathing suit that not only fits but doesn't make me look a fat ass grandma. Actually I take that back, not a bad week a bad weekEND.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I partied hard Friday night. Dealt with my hangover with cream cheese and greasy food on Saturday.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then Sunday I was actually doing pretty good. (gotta give the hubby some props too.) We were at SuperFranks with Maddy's cousins and I was really craving a hot dog.. or pizza.. or a burger. Just as I was searching for money in my wallet Matt walked over with a cup full of fruit that he purchased. Just for lil ole' me.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But later at a BBQ, I was turning down beers and alcohol knowing the food being served wasn't point friendly. As the 10th person that day was offering me a beer and me politely declining, someone finally asked me "You're not pregnant again are you???"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I quickly ran and poured myself a midori margarita. No people.. NOT pregnant!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So  I weighed in this morning at 180.1.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I guess I should just be happy that I didn't gain.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Official Week #3 Stats&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; Some of the best foods are in season (hello basil!) and what easier way to cook then throwing everything on the grill.  BBQ'ing is definitely a favorite in our household. Whether its just us at home, or hanging with family or partying with friends, we love to (eat) BBQ. During the BBQ season I naturally shed pounds as I'm eating mostly protein and fairly healthy side dishes. Thank goodness I'm not a huge mayo fan otherwise I might be in trouble.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Another fun part of summertime: alcohol. Massive amounts of alcohol. Ok, well maybe not massive, but definitely more than any other season. Beer and BBQ usually go hand in hand on the evites that pop up in my email. And if we are being honest, if there isn't going to be any alcohol at a BBQ, I'm less likely to go.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So whats a point counting gal (with a mild drinking problem) supposed to do? Liquid dinner? Save the flex points?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I don't have the answer. So far I've made it through my first weekend. I didn't go over my points. (Yay me!) I still enjoyed a few chilled drinks. Gain 5 lbs.&lt;br /&gt;November 2005: Miscarraige #1 at 12 weeks. Through my recovery (physically and emotionally) I gain 20+ lbs.&lt;br /&gt;2006: Matt proposes. We choose August 18, 2007 as the date. My journey to lose weight begins.&lt;br /&gt;Spring 2007: New job. Big raise. Decide “we” need to start eating healthy. Lose 30 llbs (drop from size 14/16 to size 6)&lt;br /&gt;August 2007: Miscarriage #2 at 6 wks and wedding. Gain 8lbs by the time we returned from Honeymoon.&lt;br /&gt;Fall/Winter 2007: Recovery of miscarriage/ asthma issues/ on prednisone for 2 months. Gained 21 lbs in 30 days.&lt;br /&gt;February 2008: Begin couting calories and training for 5k.&lt;br /&gt;Spring 2008: Lose all 21 lbs. Back to 155lbs.&lt;br /&gt;June 2, 2008: Found out I was pregnant. 160 (ish) lbs.&lt;br /&gt;January 2009: OB puts me back on steroid to manage pregnancy induced daily asthma attacks. Decide the best course of action is that I stay on them until I deliver.&lt;br /&gt;Feb 11, 2009: Last OB check up before arrival of baby: 213 lbs&lt;br /&gt;Feb 13, 2009: Delivered healthy baby girl, Madelynn. 8lbs 13oz. Hospital pumped steroids via IV through me. All. Weekend. I am 184.2 lbs. My immediate goal is to lose 10% of my body weight. That will bring me 166.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thats not even what I was at pre-pregancy. I have other (loftier)goals but for now I need to focus on 166. 18 lbs to shed via exercise and couting points.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I hate my post partum body. I've lost weight before. I hate that this isn't as easy as it was then. Now I have a 3 month old lil girl and I am just getting back into the groove of things at work.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I can do this.
